Every year at Spring Furniture Market in North Carolina, we enjoy learning from professional TREND FORECASTORS as it
offers us an inside look at leading trends shaping the home furnishings industry.
In 2020 we are pleased to bring you a summary of the final part of a three part series from a Trendwatch seminar. For
the third installment of Trendwatch, our theme is PENTHOUSE, which is otherwise known as iridescent.
Think luxury!
This trend features:
- Neutrals (beige, taupe, grey, black)
- Metallic finishes - both warm and cool
- Wood finishes - both warm and cool
- Artistry in form
- A “swanky” vibe
- Shimmery accents
- Bit of an urban or “graffiti” look
- Cityscapes
- “Glammed up” naturals
- Minimalist Maximalism – minimal products with maximal design (think bright colours and large prints)
- Brutalist forms
- Hair on hide furniture and accessories
Our last theme, iridescent, has a really artful look and feel, allowing it to create a truly curated space.
