We have been seeing Millennial Pink all over for years. While it may have started out as a trendy colour, it has quickly become a staple colour that isn’t going out of style any time soon.

So, what is Millennial Pink? There isn’t just one shade of Millennial Pink. This term encompasses many shades of pink, such as muted bubble gum, faded salmon, rose quartz, blush, and almost coral. These shades of pink have a relaxing effect, giving off a soothing feel and reducing stress and aggression.

Don’t think of this colour as just something you can pull out in spring and summer. While it is a fun and light colour that pulls from some of the florals in spring and summer, Millennial Pink is a colour that can be used year round. Pastels, such as Millennial Pink, are great for the winter months. They are not too bold, but they help bring energy and life into your home in a season that can sometimes be a bit depressing. Fall colours tend to lean towards colours in the red, brown and orange families. Not only do many shades of Millennial Pink have tones from these colours, but they can also pair very well with them.

Millennial Pink goes with so many colours, you can almost think of it as a neutral.

Here are some of our favourite colours to pair it with:
  • Neutrals: White, Brown, Black, Grey, Taupe
  • Metallics: Gold, Silver, Bronze
  • Vibrant Colours: Blue, Turquoise, Emerald Green, Mint, Teal, Yellow, Orange

  • We love this colour so much, that we decided to create some vignettes inspired by it:

This fun vignette mixes and matches florals within the Millennial Pink colour palette. The playful accessories and mixing of colours creates a fun and youthful aesthetic.

This vignette mixes a few different shades of millennial pink, as well as mixes patterns. The patterns used are more contemporary and have a slightly edgier vibe than the vignette above.

This vignette features more salmon and coral coloured tones of Millennial Pink. We have chosen more classic patterns to create a timeless and more traditional feeling grouping.
